The EFMA provides a network for educational facilities managers in BC to share ideas and provide support and recognition for its members. The annual meeting and convention provides an opportunity for the managers to get together, review what is new in the industry at the exhibitors Showtime and choose a provincial executive.
QuakeTrip will have a booth at the trade show. The convention is sponsored by leading BC companies like BC Hydro, Fortis BC and BC Safety Authority. Other companies like Houle Electric, Rede, Kimco will, also, be there.
QuakeTrip is an appliance used to shut off critical utilities during an earthquake. It can be integrated into an early warning system, gather data or stand-alone as a passive sensor that provides a simple relay to an electrical panel, control panel , automated gas valve or water vale to shut off in case of an earthquake. Alternatively, it can open things like fire hall doors elevator doors.
Quaketrip is part of the resilience movement to better prepare our community to recover from earthquake disaster.
